I am a wife, a mother, a gardener, a collector, a traveler and a certified Disney nut!  I was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, Canada where I attended Lord Strathcona Public School and graduated from Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute in 1969, the same year I joined the Royal Bank of Canada. My long and successful career with "the Royal" came to a conclusion after 35 years the end of 2004.

One of my favourite places - The Magic Kingdom

Now I enjoy spending time with my husband Gary, our dogs Zak & Zoë, family and friends. I am on my computer quite a bit reading and participating with the Disney Internet community. My other hobbies and interests include gardening, photography, scrapbooking, tole painting, and traveling. Travels with Gary have taken us to many different places, but our favorite place is Walt Disney World, we just keep going back every year, sometimes more often.

I am also obsessed with collecting. I have several collections that include Artist Teddy Bears, Boyd’s Bears, Cherished Teddies, Music Boxes, Disney Figurines, Disney Memorabilia, Coffee & Tea Pots, Bird Houses, Beanie Bears, Flower Fairies, Hallmark Ornaments, Bunnies by the Bay, Dept 56 Christmas Village, Stamps, Disney Videos, Buttons and Disney Pins.

Now that Gary and I are both retired we plan to  travel on a more leisurely basis in our new motor home. . . and take Zak and Zoë along with us. We have already picked out a pet-friendly loop of sites at the Fort Wilderness Campground at Walt Disney World where we will enjoy our first long distance RV adventure in April 2006.

Right now the gardens keep me very busy during the spring and summer seasons so we don’t get to travel until the fall and winter months. We are going to want to do more traveling with the RV so that means giving up the gardens. Time to find a home with property small enough to let us travel anytime we want but a house large enough to contain my collections (I need my stuff).

Carol & Gary at Animal Kingdom - December 2004

This web site is the brain child of my husband; after looking at a couple of my Disney internet buddies trip reports and web sites he decided to take it upon himself to design one for me. It’s looking pretty good so far, some "under construction" still, but we’ll keep adding to it. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy having him downstairs out of my way building it.    lol.
